This company does have quite a few magazine titles that are mostly based to do with guitars and other instruments specifically. But there are a couple of DJ-based magazine which would be attracting the younger genreation into this kind of music as well as those who play instruments and are interested in reading about this. They also seem to appeal people with different cultural music - hence Carlos Santana would appeal to more Spanish-orientated music. So this would be a great opportunity for my music magazine to feature in as the diverse titles and genres would make my music magazine fit in and be ideal.

The types of audiences I think are targeted are those people who are really dedicated to their music and are interested in the 'behind the scenes' scene of it - with instruments being the main prop with each musician. I don't think it is only young people that are the target market - also the older generation as the designs of each and every magazine looks very orthodox in layout and structure and there isn't any magazine that is very loud nor too dull so their target market in this case would be very broad. I don't think however that young people like me would be too interested as theiy aren’t really any appealing magazines that stand out and all basically looks the same as the last one. This is why my music magazine would fit in as there is a huge gap in MusicMag's market and the genre of hip-hop and RnB would be the perfect fit - knowing this genre isn't really there - which will benefit MusicMags as this is quite a large genre and will help sales for them.
More about MusicMags - most of their magazines are around the £5-£7 price which means that more of the middle class people would want these magazines - perhaps working class as well if they are dedicated to music magazines. All the magazines they provided do seem very soft and don't stand-out, with something hard like my music magazine would also prove to be an important aspect for MusicMags as my music magazine would stand out from the shelves and promote the name of MusicMags to draw in more attention of customers and therefore helping MusicMags to become a more established company for people to recognise. This company also sounds really positive and attracts me by saying that they are like the extra salesperson and that they are a fairly successful company which would help my music magazine and start it off to a good start.
To conclude my selection, MusicMags would be the most ideal company for my magazine as, in opinion, I would be more attracted to the magazines that they have and with the gap of a hip-hop magazine that needs to be filled - my music magazine would be the perfect magazine for MusicMags. There were a few other companies that did intrigue me - but from a clear view, MusicMags is the one for my magazine.
